Introduction

This is Lacey! I am Adyson's aunt and I created this blog to create awareness and hopefully find resources for my niece. I am hoping her mom, Heather, will help me with this or possibly take over as she knows much more about Adyson's condition.

To give you a history (heather add more if you need)-- Adyson was the 2nd baby of twins born in March 2009. The babies Adyn and Adyson were born at 25 weeks and both were under 2lbs. They both had complications when they were born, but Adyson's have been more severe.

When she was born she had to be transferred to Primary Childens' Hospital and there she had multiple complications. Her colon was liquified by her body and had to be removed as well as part of her intestine. Because she was so little, they couldn't close her stomach after the surgery and had to just gradually push the skin together and let it grow back together.

She has always had a hard time gaining weight and eating because of her "failure to thrive" condition.
